  • $51.3 million - Amount Long Island residents spent on floricultural crops in 2001 (not including trees, shrubs, turf, and other landscaping).

  • $185 million - Value of floriculture crops grown in New York in 2002.

  • 24 million - Square feet of greenhouses growing floriculture crops in New York.

  • 11,500 - Acres of vegetable crops grown on Long Island.

  • $40 million - Value of vegetable crops grown on Long Island.

  • 6,200 - Acres of nursery crops grown on Long Island.
